While reflecting on life’s abundant blessings this lenten season, it might be compelling to share. Caritas Manila, in cooperation with Lazada, now allows online donations for the recipients of ‘Caritas Damayan’, an initiative to help typhoon and fire disaster victims in Metro Manila.
With Lazada, Caritas Damayan donors can now purchase first aid kits, assorted canned goods, blankets, hygiene products, water containers, and many more to directly donate to the beneficiaries.
Donating is just as easy as the ordering process on Lazada. Just type ‘Caritas Damayan’ on the search bar, click on the item to be donated, add to cart, and proceed to checkout. Donors will then receive notification e-mails and purchased items will go straight to Caritas Damayan recipients.
Caritas Manila is also holding this year’s Alay Kapwa Telethon on Holy Monday, April 15, 2019. The
telethon, broadcasted on Radio Veritas from 6AM to 6PM, also aims to raise awareness and funds for
Caritas Damayan, which also provides assistance to the lumads of Tandag and to the affected families of Mayon eruption.
