FEATURE: Manor Shoes - 100% Marikina Made Shoes

Last Monday, I re- posted in my instagram account a photo from Manor shoes  -  I mentioned that I was drooling over it...  and I really mean it when I said that... :)

If bags can pump out blood in my system, I guess, shoes can make my heart melt. :-)

I have a lot. as in super "a lot" haha! Perhaps, I can blog about my shoe collection in the future so you may see the pairs that I scored from different brands.

What is an arm candy?

For sure all of us heard about “arm candies” … who wouldn’t???  After -all a stunning arm candy can always elevate ones look.

I myself am a big fan of stacking up bracelets in my arm.  The fashionistas and bloggers would usually hashtag it in tumblr or in Instagram: "Arm candy", "Arm swag" or Arm party.

You may find such cute little pieces at Forever 21,  Accessorize, or Aldo.

Indeed very beautiful. Very very fashionable. But could we really afford to buy as much?

In reality, prices of these beautiful pieces are not so friendly enough for us girls who couldn’t resist to just have a pair or two.  Thank God, there are several bazaars in the City that gives the shopaholics an alternative for their retail shopping in the malls. It is in these bazaars where you can find a lot of local merchants selling variety of unique collections in a very affordable price.

If you are lucky, you will also be able to meet the owner who personally conceptualized their products. Thus, you already have the option to ask if they can customize one for you. For sure, no one here would like being caught up wearing an identical piece so go ahead and go for the fabulous unique one.

A lot of you would agree to me that it really brings a different kind of joy especially when one has bought a personalized or customized jewelry. When this happens, you are the girl who are not just happy because you scored a unique piece – but you also got to help and support the locally owned independent businesses too.

With the available options laid on our hands, being wise and being fashionable at the same time isn't as hard as we think it is right?

As I was inspired by the growing numbers of photos popping up on instagram and tumblr of these arm candies, here's sharing with you some tips on how to dress up your wrist with a gorgeous combination  without hurting your pockets too much:

> The timepiece  -  a fabulous timepiece would always be the perfect item to start the look of your arm candy.
Color - it is always nice to check from time to time the seasons color trend. But remember, the color of your arm candy should always compliment your outfit. If you want to play safe, you may go for the neutral look. Gold or Rosegold can always act as neutrals. They can be combined with anything without clashing.
Statement piece - this could always be an oversized bangle, a cuff, or chunky charm bracelets.
Stack it up - this is the main concept of an arm candy. Stack, stack and stack. So go ahead - Go unlimited.
Mix and Match - Metals. Leathers. Rope. Lace. Ribbons. Wires. :) You may pair different materials together as long as they compliment each other.

Below are some of the arm candies that belong to my personal collection. They were not bought all at the same time.  I have purchased them individually (bought online, in bazaars, in greenhills and in Binondo). Some are my DIY swags. While others that you can find in the link provided which are similar to the posted photos are open for sale. My collection are indeed growing enormously haha!

To sum this up, I am not saying that we should stop or hinder ourselves from purchasing to the big brands in the retail market who helped boost up our style for quite sometime.

Definitely, they will always have products that we will keep on adoring, loving and buying :-)

Talking Business

I know all of us wouldn't want to be just working for someone forever. Deep within us, we would like to be the boss or if we dream bigger, we would want to put up a company of our own.

At the time when I am writing this, I was thinking about the time when I resigned from a prestigious resort in Boracay then afterwards transferred to a prestigious resort in Palawan (I am Manila Based). Although I am working full-time that time, I already have a small business on the side - Actually it started when I design fashion accessories for my personal use which got noticed by friends and colleagues. It is then when I later on decided to join exhibits and bazaars every weekend during the months of  October to December... It was so rewarding because I am earning extra cash :-)

I have read an article once but I couldn't remember where. (Apologies for not being able to properly reference the source of the article below since I am just new to writing/blogging - ) Nevertheless, since then, this have become an inspiration for my goal in -life.

Below is a snippet of the article which I have read somewhere (credits to the writer)

"Rule of Thumb for Entrepreneurs: Start Small! Then marvel as your little SariSari Store becomes a MALL!!!"

When someone asked me a year ago and up until now... So why do you want to start your own business? I want to start my own business not for the money alone but for the satisfaction of being my own boss and the fulfillment of achieving a long-time goal. It isn't about the profits, I say... but come to think of it.... Really now!!!

The reality is, money is everything! and in the world that we live in, this is totally true!!! Money determines whether you can haul your idealistic ass along the road of conquest so far out of Bills! Bills! and Bills that we have! And running a business means taking risks. Even the rich and the shrewd do come up with flat-out duds from time to time.

Failing, even occasionally, however, is one luxury a budding business mogul can't afford to commit. Remember that one mistake could mean the end of everything you have put up as investment. Bottom line: Recklessness is unprofitable!!! And that's what small enrtrepreneurs should ever bear in mind!!! "
