From Participant to Advocate: My Gawad Madiskarte Journey with Madiskarte Moms PH

Five years.

I can hardly believe that our community, Madiskarte Moms PH, is celebrating its 5th anniversary! Indeed, time passes by that fast. As I look back at my wonderful experience in the group,  I am so filled with hope and anticipation for what is yet to come. Our community continuously evolves, pushing boundaries and celebrating each other's successes. I’m just as excited to witness further achievements in this journey we are all on together.

If you are my friend or a follower, for sure you’ve heard from me about the Gawad Madiskarte, which we celebrate every year. I had the amazing privilege of attending the Gawad Madiskarte awards ceremonies over the years, not just as one of the resident moms, but also as a very proud founding member of the Madiskarte Moms PH community.

And if you ask me, it is during this time of year when we get the most excited. This event was not just a celebration of achievements but also a passionate meeting of inspirational women who have successfully navigated the challenges of motherhood and entrepreneurship.

Seeing the awardees and winners was so touching. Even though many of them had not prepared speeches, their sincerity came through in every word they said on stage. I swear, you could sense from their enthusiasm in sharing their stories how they motivated and inspired the audience.  It reminded me that patience, hard effort, and unshakable community support are frequently the foundations of success.

Being part of this community and yearly celebration made me reflect on my own journey as a mompreneur. From time management to successful business advice from other moms, the information I've learned from them has been priceless. The support and friendship of the Madiskarte Moms PH group have completely changed my entrepreneurial journey. Beyond our shared goals, we share thoughts, resources, and experiences that empower us to become better versions of ourselves.

The winners' incredible prizes and the inspirational stories they shared gave me an overwhelming sense of excitement. Imagine winning as much as  P100,000 in cash is such a big help already. That’s why I was so happy to see so many deserving mompreneurs who were recognized for their achievements. The prizes and awards were not only material; they were a source of acknowledgment, motivation, and the strength to keep going when things became tough.

Over the years, the Gawad Madiskarte trophies have been crafted by renowned Filipino sculptors Glenn Cagandahan and Ram Mallari Jr.—each piece more than just a symbol of triumph. These trophies are artworks in their own right, embodying the resilience, dedication, and aspirations of every hardworking Filipina mom striving to secure her family’s stability and fulfill their dreams.

More than just a group, Madiskarte Moms PH is a caring and supportive community where Moms can ask for advice whenever they need one. Our community, which now has over 215,000 members, has grown into an active platform for friendship, empowerment, and education. Since its launch in September 2020, it has provided a safe online space for mompreneurs looking for connections, ideas, and resources to help businesses thrive, especially during difficult times.
