With a four-peat record at the Ookla®Speedtest AwardsTM, PLDT is the uncontested fastest fixed network in the Philippines. According to the current Speedtest AwardsTM for Q1-Q2 2021, PLDT had the fastest download and upload speeds in Makati, Cebu, and Davao, with an overall speed score of 46.25 for the quarter, outperforming all other major internet providers in the Philippines.
According to Ookla, the highest download and upload speeds for the telecom giant were 113.2 Mbps and 136.61 Mbps, respectively. This information was derived from a study of millions of consumer-initiated tests conducted on Speedtest® platforms. Speed tests using computer devices connected to a fixed network as well as through a Wi-Fi connection are included.
