Farmers’ Produce market caravan goes to SM Southmall!

Last thursday, I did a quick grocery run and happen to pass by at the Farmer's Produce market set-up in Sm Southmall. Heads up food lovers down south! Woot!

This is a partnerhip of SM Supermalls with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Resto PH, an organization of different restaurant brands in the Philippines. They came up with this market to bring Farmers’ Produce to mall goers. I'm lucky cause' I was there when it opened last October 15. They said, this SM Southmall caravan is the fifth leg already of Farmer Produce ;)

Official duration of the farmers' Produce Market is from Oct 15-18 and October 22-25. Farmers’ Produce will be open from 10AM to 8PM on Thursdays and 10AM to 9PM from Fridays to Sundays.

Enjoy a farm-to-table experience and choose from a wide selection of fresh produce and organic goods. Sourced straight from local farms, this initiative aims to spur the country’s agriculture and restaurant industry which is still reeling from the effects of the pandemic.

The market is participated by various local farms and stores including Cada Farmers, CocoPlus, Dielles Apiary, and Meadery, Don Dairy, John and Jing Fruits, Lololylalala Egg, NC2 Star Farmville, Salbahe Chili Products, Sally’s Authentic Bicol Express, and Team Dagui Family Farm which offer vegetables, eggs, coconut products, honey, cow’s milk, yogurt, fresh fruits, fruit jams, and root crops among others. Aside from these, customers can also shop for locally made abaca slippers and sandals from Jhaz Footwear.

You can also feast on delectable dishes as several restaurants will have their pop-up booths including Mango Tree, Genki Sushi, Scout’s Honor, and Recovery Food by Mamou.
