Each of us for sure has a story to tell about our quarantine experience. How many days na nga ba? I lost count already. We even witnessed how the world began rushing to panic buy toilet paper. :) Surely, people learn ways of responding to the COVID-19 global pandemic and one of which is through the change in shopping habits.
When people went on struggling to stock their shelves with groceries due to quarantine restrictions, people diverted for the safest way— and that is to purchase essentials online. Slowly, we are now shifting to online orders and deliveries!
On the first Monday of May, I found myself in a surreal state at the online checkout page for pasta sauces, syrups, and more grocery items.
Honestly, in the years that I have been shopping online, I have never ordered perishables. Well compared to the amount of time I spent hoarding my fave make-up products–it took me a little extra just to finish buying our essentials. Yung totoo, ang lakas maka -disorient ng essentials, haha! Kidding aside, of course, I am merely in a period of adjustment, mabilis ko na nga sya natapos because of the Shopee Mart’s 5-5 sale.
Buti na lang meron..... I guess online shopping for essentials has never been this safe, easy, and budget-friendly. With more people take advantage of online shopping, who says you need to leave the house to get your essential goods during the quarantine? I think now that we have an option like this, I'm pretty sure that this adjustment may later be a new normal for all of us.
