WHAT TO EXPECT AT FRANCHISE ASIA PHILIPPINES 2019

Have you ever thought of being your own boss?

I did and I took the risk of being my own boss when I quit my job eight years ago. I took the plunge of setting up a start-up business of my own (full time ).

But why did I opt for a startup and why not into franchising, you asked?

It's because I was already selling some handmade products as a sideline while I had a corporate job. It's a small business out of my passion in fashion.

I was already joining regular weekend bazaars back then and it was the year 2011 when I felt that the demand for my product went high and was in full swing already. It required a lot of my time which eventually made me to finally quit my job and pursue my own business full-time.

Actually, aside from my startup business ~in between the struggles and the ups and downs in our current business — yes it did cross my mind (and my husband) to take the plunge in getting into the franchise business. But clearly, to those who know us personally, we didn't pursue our plans into franchising because mainly we LACK KNOWLEDGE.

You see, setting up a business is no easy task because you have to know, study, make careful decisions and make sound judgments.

This is the reason why when I got an invite for a luncheon meeting which aims to tackle the upcoming event of Franchise Asia Philippines 2019 — I didn't think twice! I told myself, this is my chance or even this might be my sign. haha!

So if you are like me who have no clue and have lots of questions on where to begin — then, I tell you this is our chance!

During our luncheon, it was stressed out to us that with proper knowledge, planning and attitude, creating a sustainable, booming business is attainable. Yes, at the start of the business, many people choose to own a franchise based on the belief that success is guaranteed. But really — the key to business longevity, according to some franchisors, include focusing on the business, having a clear understanding of the market, capturing an existing but unfulfilled market niche, and increasing accessibility.

It's time for us to wipe the dust off of our business plans and together let's make 2019 the year in making our business dreams happen.

Here's a tip: if you want to visit the Expo, register online to get a free pass and come early. If you go on walk-in, a 100 pesos entrance fee will be charged.
