RECIPE: MACKEREL BALLS

There are moments when you are at home and it's midnight and suddenly you become hungry. Nangyari na ba sainyo ito? Did it ever happened to you? I'm sure it did.

I swear, it's really hard to sleep ng gutom (when you're tummy is rumbling like crazy). The next episode of my gutom went on "me" waking up the "husband" and invited him for a midnight chi-cha (snack)! :) Actually, I woke him up so he can help me in doing a quick pangtawid gutom easy-peasy recipe out of our stacked Mackerel. Promise guys, this recipe is solb-na-solb!

Here's a the quick recipe that we tried earlier: Mackerel Balls using Uni-Pak Mackerel in natural oil. It's so easy to follow and light on the budget too! Even the ones who has walang- ka-alam alam sa pagluluto ( has no knowledge in cooking) can do this.

RECIPE: UNI-PAK MACKEREL BALLS

INGREDIENTS:
2 cans of 425g Uni-Pak mackerel in Natural Oil.
1/2 full pan of cooking oil (for deep frying purposes)
50g seasoned breadcrumbs.
225g All Purpose Flour.
1 large egg
1 teaspoon black pepper.
1/2 teaspoon salt.

PROCEDURE

Drain the mackerel oil.

Mix the salt, pepper, egg, crumbs, all purpose flour altogether.

Whisk the egg in a large bowl until blended.
Whisk in the salt and a generous quantity of black pepper together with the crumbs and the all purpose flour.
Mix well.
Add all the mixed ingredients with Uni-Pak mackerel.
Use your hands to thorougly mix it into the Mackerel.

Form the Mackerel into balls.

Pinch off a piece of the mackerel mixture and gently roll between your hands to form 1 1/2-inch mackerel balls. Continue shaping until all the mackerel is used.

Note: 2 cans can approximately make up to 15 mackerel balls.

Deep Fry until golden brown.

The mackerel balls are done when cooked through and the outsides are browned.

Serve immediately.
We named it MACKEE BALLS.

Masarap guys!!! Simple pero rock!

Go try it too!
