HOW TO BE A SELFIE EXPERT

Manila has been tagged as a selfie capital of the world -  thus in a world where selfie has been part of our everyday lives, by now, I think each one of us have already become experts in taking one or are we???

Here's sharing you some tips on how I do it to achieve that perfect selfie -

KNOW YOUR LIGHT

Nothing beats having your selfie with a good and natural light.

Always look where the proper lighting is.
Whether or not you are indoor or if you are taking your photo in an outside setting, find where the sun is and get the spot directly into it.

Never ever take your photo against the light otherwise your photo will just look like there is an overcast upon you...

TADAHHH!!!

Parang multo lang diba... :) hahaha!

KNOW YOUR ANGLE

In my case, I take multiple shots, mga (50) fifty, hehe!

No seriously, I take my selfies hangang sa ma-perfect and mahanap ko kung best angle ko.
Minsan hangang sa mapuno ko na kung memory ng phone ko. ;p

Pak, Pak, Ganern, Ganern! Ayan!

It has been years since smart phones became available in the market and these has taught each and everyone of us to be a vain.
Sorry for the word but, yes - V A I N.
Yun bang kahit saan na lang nagta-take tayo ng selfie ~ In the bed, in the car, in the bathroom, just name it - present lahat yan.

Oh, by the way, don't feel insecure if in the multiple shots that you took eh mas madami pa ang "chaka" pose na output compared to the flattering ones.

Don't worry.

Y O U  A R E  N O T  A L O N E.

You wouldn't like looking like this :p
O, ano okay na?! Napagaan ko na ba yung loob nyo? hahaha.
Ang pangeeeet diba.
So as I've said, it is really a must that you KNOW YOUR ANGLE.
 - to avoid those double chins and unflattering shots na talaga namang sorbrang nakaka- turnoff!

JUST BE NATURAL

A not too pa -cute nor exaggerated pose.

This is my best example of just being natural. I took this while I was bored in traffic.

But then, the traffic was not moving so I took another shot.

Minsan talaga, there are just so much outside elements that would consume your energy. So I ended up making faces already.

But guys, if you must, please please avoid being so much pa-cute on your selfies. Your friends  will just end up hating you and FRENEMIES hating you more.

BE YOURSELF , STRIKE A POSE

Nothing can beat a good photo with your gorgeous smile.

Yes, S M I L E.
(Kahit minsan your heart is aching! ;p)

May pinagdadaanan ka and can't smile? okay pa din yan.

Do you still remember that perfect smize from Queen Pia?

Ayan! Pwedeng pwede yang ganyan.

S E R I O U S  yet M Y S T E R I O U S lang ang datingan sa ganyan.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT PHONE

For us to have that "PERFECT" selfie, we got to have that perfect one -

Parang sa LOVE - you got to have the perfect one for you to be truly happy. (nangangamoy hugot!!!) haha!

No seriously, for me, I still cannot classify my selfies into that "perfect level" yet because my phone executes poor front camera shots. Check out my photo above - I know the shot is perfect, the angle is perfect but then again, quality wise, its really poor. I won't mention what my phone is but one thing's for sure, I got a whole in my pocket when I got my current phone - -

With this day and age, I'm sure there are a lot of smart phones that can give us that perfect selfie shots. We just have to be picky lang 'cause some takes good shots using the rear camera but still poor when it comes to it's front camera.

Ganun naman yata, you can't have it all!
Parang dyowa lang diba —
Gwapo nga, mejo bastos naman. Mabait, pero di ganun ka gwapo. Hays....

What about you guys? I know you want to amp your selfie game too.

Share it to me!

Xoxo,

Jaimie
