EVENT| CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE CC CREAM SWIRL COMPACT LAUNCH

Last July 10, Clinique Philippines had a Press Event launching their newest product ~ the Moisture Surge CC Cream Swirl Compact SPF 30/pa +++ ~
It was held at the Clinique Counter in SM Aura. Aside from the launch, their Regional Education and Physician Services Manager, Mr. Rick Felecia gave a workshop.

The launch started around 10am but I came running late as I still had to finish my mommy duties. Good thing there was no traffic - it only took me half an hour drive from Alabang Hills to Taguig.

Mr. Felecia's talk was almost finished when I arrived.  But let's talk about luck! I was one of the lucky ones who were able to have a one -on- one session with him. Such a privilege really because I learned a lot especially now that there are so many products out in the market these days.

With the growing set of products, it is really hard for us to distinguish which ones are the best for our skin. For the past 3 years, I have been using BB creams. But since CC creams are now coming in, it makes most of us more unsure on which products really works for our skin ~~ BB creams stand for Beblish Balm whereas CC creams stand for Color Correcting. Since both are with hydrating properties, these gets us to be confused even more.

To give you a brief background, BB and CC Creams are are both skin-perfecting beauty agents. But what exactly is the difference?

While BB creams are known to provide medium to full coverage in thick consistency, CC Creams on another note provides lightweight to moderate coverage.

Here's to share with you some highlights on what I learned from him~

I have been a Clinique user ever since I started wearing make-up because of it's proven mildness. But what I have learned that day was Clinique's mildness was made SUPER mild that the products may even be used by infants 6 months and above - who would have thought right?

So he started checking out my skin ( I felt a bit of shyness because it is not everyday that I am on face to face to a certified expert).  He noticed that I was already wearing something on my face. I said yes and informed him that for my day to day use, I only wear BBcream, a Lash Mascara and a lippy -(normally, I wear Korean products such as FaceShop and Skin79) since I am very keen to skin break-outs. I told him, I am anti heavy make-up, even the use of foundations are a "no-no" to me and he agreed! He said, " It's always better to start with less".  He also told me that I still have a very good and fresh skin so the only thing to do is to maintain and moisturize.

Mr. Felecia took out existing products that I used earlier to try out their newest Moisture Surge CC Cream Swirl Compact SPF 30/PA ++ //

Clinique's CC Cream Swirl provides hydration and UV protection. It helps create a natural healthy glow by neutralizing the look of imperfections with three Color Correcting (CC) optics that are swirled into the entire formula.

So what are the use of these 3 color correcting optics?
- White swirl helps brighten skin.
- Pink swirl helps correct dull, tired-looking skin
- Peach swirl helps correct sallow, unhealthy -looking skin.

Given our weather in the Philippines, according to Mr. Felecia "Even if it is a hydrating cream, it still is appropriate to use because it is completely oil-free. What is great about it is that it could be worn under your foundation or just it alone."

"And when applying it, it is always best to start with less in a swirling motion. Start at the center area of the face then blend towards the hairline. Depending on how much coverage you want, just remember that you have to layer as you apply. "He added.

Is the Moisiture Surge CC Cream Swirl Compact SPF 30/pa++ AFFORDABLE? Yes!!! It is available at Clinic Counters nationwide for a SRP of Php 1,950.00

A preview samples of Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms are available too and Mr. Felecio was able to try it on me :-)

I'm loving it~ I will be making a separate review of it here in the blog.

If you are going to ask me if the CC Cream swirl lasts? The photo below is a proof that it does. I came home late in the afternoon and the make-up that Mr. Felecia applied to me in the morning is still intact.

No retouch made. :)

Special thanks to the hubz for the photo.
