GLAM ROCKIN' BABY!

image

Gone are the days where the Disney Princesses ~ Cinderella, Belle, Aurora and others are used as the theme for birthday parties...

- - -

Sometime early last year, I have been able to attend one, and the theme was already a rock and roll party. Last August, it was Sam's Birthday (Sam is a cousin of Tammy), who had a glam rock party too.

And the recent, about a week ago, it was again another one.

So what's with this glam rock theme huh?

Well, if you'll ask me, I guess it has something to do with the fashion trends nowadays....

Look at them! The furry top. The Lace Top. The ruffled shorts. The fru-fru skirt, and the boots!

No doubt our kids now are being the little fashionista that they can be.

With this ongoing trend, as a mom, as a "STAGE" mom that I am ( haha!) I am pressured. Dead pressured. And once again, just last week, I felt it again. :-(

Well, almost everyone knows that fashion is my passion.. but then again, this is our 3rd glam rock party to attend to. And so, I was CHALLENGED.

So I ask my self this::: How on earth can I dress up my little barbie without shedding out extra cash, and at the same time would still look fabulous? ( you know... we need to make tipid this days for the rainy days) ;-)

So the night before the party, I played along with Tammy's tutus, the rubber shoes that she use in school, and her casual sunday black tights... all these completed her lower get-up. See >>> :) :)

However, for her top, I suddenly froze! ~ because I wanted a black top to complete that look. But lo-and behold! For some odd reason, I just cannot find her one and only black top that night... :(

I panicked!! Seriously, her dad won't let me buy a new black top in the morning... as he always say, "sa bagal niyo kumilos" it would definitely be impossible.

Suddenly, a very brilliant idea as it was, popped on my crazy mind. My DIY ideas worked once more. Using my fitted shirt, a scissors and a number of HUGE safety pins ~~ ~~Tadaaah! ~~Tammy already have an instant one sided - cropped top :-)

And as for me, when somebody say it's a PARTY, I seriously dress up accordingly :)

Pardon for the walis, I just needed something to hold that time and it was the only thing nearest my side :) I had to grab it right away before I irritate my photographer (na pilit -na -pilit ako kuhanan ng picture)

This pretty ambiance and colorful balloons strucked me .....
Just when I saw this, I hurriedly looked for DiJ (the dad of the celebrant) and asked him (in a kidding tone) if I was just attending a children's party because the set-up seems to be so overwhelming.

The place totally rock! From the backdrop entrance and the centerpieces...

A Children's party is not a party without games. And I could say that they really have prepared for this because several games have been lined up for the kids.

When I saw theeese, believe me, I suddenly wanted to participate and compete at the children's games to be able to grab the fabulous prizes... kakaloka! Haha!

As most of us say, the success of a children's party is according to the number of kids who attended.

What do you think??? Ang damiiiing kids talaga diba????

But Look! It's just not kids!

Quoting the words of the emcee, tito Shy (hope I spelled and got his name right)...

" I see a lot of people today, this is no longer just a birthday party but an event."

I AGREE!!! Really, this is the most well attended children's party I have ever been to. NO bola!

Over-all, this Glam Rock party of "Destiny" totally ROCK!
