2020 Week 1: Hello, Love, Goodbye

Gosh, the first week of January is about to end in a few minutes! Grabe, parang kahapon lang ako nag NY countdown and ngayon~ patapos na naman yung unang lingo of this month.

You might be wondering what's with the title.... and nope, this isn't about Kat and Alden's movie! So Bakit Hello, Love, Goodbye?

If you have been watching my IG and Fb stories, you might have seen my sister who just arrived 3 weeks ago~

She and her family went home here in the Philippines to spend the Holidays with us.

Their stay here was short but sweet. Kulang-na kulang ang time pero wala kaming nasayang na oras.

Same as with the New Year countdown— parang kahapon lang sila dumating — it seems like I just said hello to them pero ayan na~ tapos na din agad ang vacation time nila.

Kaya super sentimental ako just 2 days after the New Year. Ang bilis talaga tumakbo ng oras when you are having some fun with the people you love and creating some great memories.

But sabi nga nila, some good things ay may hangganan talaga. Together with her family, they flew back to London last Friday morning —Jan. 3

Buti na lang, I somehow got distracted coz' in the afternoon of Friday that same day~ Tammy and I went to Southmall to witness the opening of Popeyes second branch here in the South. So I'm officially declaring this as my first event of the year – woot!

Nakaka-happy lang coz' we do not need to go too far coz' meron na din Popeyes sa SM Southmall— As I've said, this is the 2nd Popeyes store in the south so to all of you here who are also a southie, less lines na and hindi na din tayo dadayo sa ibang city, yaheyyyy!

Celebrities like Miles Ocampo, Rhian Ramos and Marlon Stockinger were spotted at the grand opening of Popeyes SM Southmall!

Together with a number of blogger friends ~ aside from their famous fried chicken, we enjoyed other flavorsome meals with Popeyes’ must-try menu items like the iconic honey biscuits, shrimp and fish burgers, and Cajun fries. There were also other delicious treats such as the hazelnut and white chocolate biscuits, and our super bet na bet na Popeyes spaghetti, which is exclusive to Popeyes’ branches in the Philippines.

The Husby was not with me and Tammy, so I took a lot of takeaway food for him and Mama. As soon as I got home, we feasted on Popeyes signature juicy - but not greasy -  fried chicken which is packed with unique Cajun-inspired flavors from Louisiana, USA. Mejo napagod ako this day coz' inabot kami ni Tammy ng closing ng Mall. Na-holdup din pala nya ako sa sobrang dami pinabili, haha! Inisip ko tuloy, sana pala hindi ko na sya sinama kanina.... haha! Joke....  Seriously though, one of our bonding moments talaga is shopping then having a night cap over coffee (for me) and non-caffeine drink (for her).

Basically, our week consisted of just sleeping, chilling and eating lang as we coz' we make the most out of Tammy's remaining bakasyon thru staycation.

Mejo nakakalungkot lang ulit, coz' tomorrow, January 6, we will be back to our regular programming dahil Tammy's classes will again resume na.

But I guess the universe has its way of making us happy.

We were able to eat our fave lumpiang shanghai as our ulam for our dinner tonight. haha!
I know it's so babaw but super sure ako na most of you can relate (wink, wink)

....so, until next week —

Ciao!
